Tardy to the Party
Okay, I admit - sometimes I am really slow to the party - especially when it comes to pop culture and television. I've never watched "Lost"; I have watched perhaps two episodes ever of "American Idol"; and I wouldn't know who "The Bachelor" was if he dropped dead in front of me....
However - I discovered a true gem of a show the other night - that apparently has been on NBC since last September - on Thursday nights - and it is simply marvelous. Comedic genius. Hysterically funny. Loved it. Really. Every character on this show brings a lot to the table and the writing is clever, witty and cutting-edge sharp.
What's the show called, you ask?
"Community".
About a group of friends who attend community college. That's all I'm going to say on it the subject. However, it was announced yesterday that it WILL be back next season - and I'm thrilled, because this show had me in stitches.
Yeah, so it took me 5 months to discover it. But it was worth the wait.
Peace.

Hey don't feel bad -- I don't watch Lost either, LOL. AND when I do find a show that seems interesting I stop watching it because I'm too busy!
Sometimes it is worthy to wait a liitle bit longer!!
Wow, I will try it now. I had known it was on, but I have never seen it either. I had heard some not so great reviews about it, but those are from the "people in the know!" I never agree with the critics. I would much rather hear a review from us "regular folk." I consider you "regular folk" I hope that's okay! I'm "regular folk" too. Thanks!
I think the critics weren't sure what to make of this show when it first started - it's a little "quirky", to say the least...but I think it's grown on them now. It's a lot like "The Office" - that weird, clever humor. I have to DVR the episodes so I can watch them twice - I miss so many of the jokes the first time!
And yes - I'm very regular. Did that sound right? :)
